Datamining

In the lobby of the TU Delft stands a big machine, looking like it came from the moon. With it, visitors can take a virtual tour through the digital collection of the library and experience its rich diversity.
Datamining was made for the library of Delft University. Using a 3D simulation of an underground set of tunnels you can travel from publication to publication. Every publication is a crossroads of different tunnels. The traveller can change tunnels, for instance by entering the tunnel of all the publications by the same author, the same topic or year. Datamining is a playful machine that brings serendipity back to digital searching.
